This can be a commonly-used measure in clinical trials for psoriasis treatments. Typically, the PASI will be calculated before, during and after the treatment period in order to figure out how well psoriasis responds towards treatment under test (a cheaper PASI means less psoriasis, generally).
Its not all PASIs are identical, however. In clinical trials, it's quite common a “modified PASI”
